3rd Regional Cultural Differences Conference

A warm welcome to the official website of the 3rd Regional Cultural Differences Conference (RCDC), an interdisciplinary conference, which will take place in St. Gallen, Switzerland from July 12th to July 15th 2027.

We are organising this conference to bring together scholars from various disciplinary backgrounds who share an interest in regional cultural differences. The goal of this grassroots conference is to provide an intimate conference setting with approximately 50-60 participants across all career stages, and from many different parts of the world. As such, the conference is designed to offer an opportunity for intellectual exchange, academic networking, and interdisciplinary collaboration. 

At the inaugural conference in Barcelona, Spain in 2022, we were amazed by the diversity of scholars (e.g., from psychology, economics, geography, or social data science) who came together, exchanged ideas, and began to form a community. With the second conference in Vancouver, Canada in 2025, this process of building a stable, welcoming, and inclusive community was continued.
